Library Services and Technology Act Grant
The Library has been awarded a $5,000 Library Services and Technology Act Grant with the LSTA Back to Books grant funds. The Rochester Public Library District will expand their newly created Parent/Teacher collection with this grant. The library wishes to support parents and teachers by providing information on the development and education of children from infancy through young adulthood. The Parent/Teach collection will contain materials on parenting, homeschooling, and classroom curriculum. The Rochester Public Library will work closely with the Rochester School District, local care givers and homeschooling parents to create a Parent/Teacher Collection that will be beneficial to all patrons. Funding for this grant project was awarded from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State / Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
